Fast checklist (2 minutes)

  • Focus: Presenting – Control Center → Focus (or create a scheduled Focus in Settings → Focus). Blocks banners and sounds while you present.
  • Hide desktop items – Settings → Desktop & Dock → Show Items: Off (On Desktop).
  • Share a window (Zoom/Teams) – never your entire screen; use Zoom’s Portion of Screen when needed.
  • Check screen-recording permission (first time on a new Mac user account).
  • Optional Dock tidy – hide recent apps and enable auto-hide.
